The present invention relates to a hydra gene responding to fluoxetine exposure and a method of diagnosing environmental pollution in an aquatic eco system by using the same. As a result of analyzing a gene transformed after the exposure of a hydra to fluoxetine, when exposed to 30 g/L of fluoxetine, one species of gene from a 12-hour exposure group, one species of gene from a 24-hour exposure group, 21 species of genes from a 48-hour exposure group, and 18 species of genes from a 72-hour exposure group have been found to have their expression changed, and also, when exposed to 300 g/L of fluoxetine, three species of genes from the 12-hour exposure group, one species of gene from the 24-hour exposure group, three species of genes from the 48-hour exposure group, and three species of genes from the 72-hour exposure group have been found to have their expression changed. Thus, through analysis of the functions of the genes, the biological influence on the hydra, caused by exposure to fluoxetine, is able to be predicted, and the 27 genes are able to be used as biomarkers for confirming exposure to fluoxetine.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
