By containing an alkali metal in the single-layer graphene, semigmatization can be achieved by forming a bandgap in the single-layer graphene due to the polarization of electrons due to nonchemical bonding. Such alkali metal-containing single-layer graphenes can be utilized in various electric devices such as sensors and transistors.
