The present invention relates to a compressor for an automobile, comprising: a housing forming an appearance and having a suction port and a discharge port through which refrigerant enters and exits; A driving unit coupled to the housing and adapted to rotate by being applied from the outside; A rotor for compressing a refrigerant by rotation of a driving shaft coupled to the driving unit and rotating by receiving a rotational force of the driving unit; A vane radially coupled to the rotor so as to be able to move in a radial direction of the rotor in accordance with rotation of the rotor; A side plate coupled to both sides of the rotor, the vane, and the cam ring so as to form a compression chamber in which a refrigerant is sucked and compressed between the cam ring and the rotor; The back pressure line is formed by rolling the refrigerant compressed in the compression chamber to the side plate so that the vane is pressed toward the cam ring. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an automotive refrigerant compressor capable of improving suction performance and compression performance, and suppressing unnecessary torque caused by a frictional force generated when a vane and a cam ring are brought into contact with each other.
