Disclosed are a simulation system for a laparoscopic surgery based on augmented reality, and a method using the same. The simulation system for a laparoscopic surgery based on augmented reality comprises: a laparoscopic surgery tool for generating first laparoscopic surgery information; a simulator module for generating second laparoscopic surgery information when a human model is provided therein and when it is detected the laparoscopic surgery tool cuts the human model or inserted into the human model; an information processing module for generating augmented reality information on the basis of the first laparoscopic surgery information and the second laparoscopic surgery information; and an augmented reality glass for outputting the augmented reality information. Accordingly, a learner simulates a laparoscopic surgery by using augmented reality information, or compares previously stored image information of a laparoscopic surgery with a laparoscopic surgery that the learner simulates. Therefore, it is possible to evaluate how much the laparoscopic surgery simulated by the learner coincides with the previously stored image information of a laparoscopic surgery. Surgery clinical skills needed for a laparoscopic surgery can be effectively learned. In addition, an educator can easily produce 3D content for education of a laparoscopic surgery by using augmented reality information.
