The present invention relates to a head-mounted display apparatus. The head-mounted display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a spatial light modulator displaying a hologram pattern, receiving a first parallel light and modulating and diffracting the parallel light according to the hologram pattern to generate a plurality of parallel lights proceeding in different directions; and a first holographic optical element receiving the second parallel lights and changing the traveling direction of the second parallel lights so that the second parallel lights are converged in different positions in a lens of a user.
