Provided is a method of providing a virtual currency service using proceeds of block chain-based rental and finance, which comprises the steps of: receiving a purchase event for purchasing a virtual currency from a purchasing terminal; designating the purchasing terminal as a node of a block chain, and storing the designation resu enabling the purchasing terminal to pay an amount corresponding to the virtual currency; providing, to the purchasing terminal, a virtual currency corresponding to the amount paid by the purchasing terminal, and accumulating the amount paid by the purchasing terminal so as to be paid and guaranteed through at least one bank server; requesting provision to a merchant terminal that has requested payment through the at least one bank server when a transaction according to the payment occurs in the purchasing terminal; and updating book data recorded with the virtual currency to be shared by at least one node of the black chain when the provision according to the payment is completed. According to the present invention, double payment and illegal use can be prevented by using a block chain network.
