The present invention relates to a bridge bearing based on deformation capacity comprising: an upper board part mounted on a lower portion of a supported object; a lower board part having a retaining jaw vertically protruding along an edge of an upper surface and fixed to an installed object to face the upper board part; an elastic body arranged between the upper board part and the lower board part to support or buffer the load of the supported object; a guide block having a pair of side plates arranged in parallel to each other on inner faces adjacent to both end portions, a pair of displacement limiting parts arranged at both end portions of the side plates to be in mirror symmetry, and a guide groove limited by the side plates and the displacement limiting parts, wherein the side plates have concave portions formed vertically and the guide block is arranged in a bridge-axis direction at an edge of the upper board part corresponding to the retaining jaw. Therefore, the bridge bearing based on deformation capacity can show a shear resistance function by adjusting resistance performance by stages according to the level of shear deformation.
