The present invention relates to a method of setting an HDMI port of a TV on a remote control and, more specifically, to a method of setting an HDMI port of a TV by a remote control if an HDMI port of a TV connected to a set-top box is changed. The method of setting an HDMI port of a TV on a remote control comprises: a step of receiving EDID including a TV manufacturer name and an HDMI port name of a TV connected by an HDMI cable from a set-top box connected via RF communication; a step of acquiring the TV manufacturer name and the HDMI port name of the TV connected by the HDMI cable from the received EDID; a step of acquiring an IR code set number which is an IR setting number corresponding to the acquired TV manufacturer name to set and register the IR code set number; and a step of transmitting an IR code to request to set a port of the TV receiving an external signal to the acquired HDMI port.
