MAT SYSTEM DETECTING BREAKDOWN OF MAT SENSING EMBARKATION OF USER

The mat system can determine if the mat is in a state where it is possible to detect whether the passenger is boarding (steady state). The mat system may apply a voltage to either the first electrode plate or the second electrode plate after connecting a resistor to at least one of the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate included in the mat unit. The matte system can measure the voltage of the resistor connected to the other electrode plate corresponding to the electrode plate to which voltage is applied. The mat system can determine if the mat is in a steady state based on the measured voltage. When the mat unit is not in the normal state, the mat system diagnoses the malfunction of the mat unit and can detect the cause of the malfunction.
