Measuring Abdominal Obesity Using Kinect Sensor

The present invention relates to a method for measuring abdominal obesity using a Kinect sensor, including the steps of: determining a waist by photographing an object to be measured by the Kinect sensor; obtaining a depth value for the determined waist; curving the waist depth value and estimating an arc length value of the expressed curve; and determining whether an abdomen is obese according to the estimated arc length value. Accordingly, the present invention can accurately measure the abdominal obesity at low costs.
