For the collection of material for cytological studies in tumor diseases of the pancreas, liver and biliary tract, laparoscopy is performed. Through the second trocar introduced when performing laparoscopy under visual control, an instrument with gauze cotton swab is introduced into the abdominal cavity. Sampling of cellular material is performed by wiping the peritoneum consistently in the right subphrenic space, in the left subphrenic space, in the subhepatic space, in the right and left lateral canals, in the small pelvis.
