FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: to diagnose the depth of a burn wound in case of thermal burns, osteopathic palpation diagnostics is performed no later than on the third day after the injury. The area is determined within which, in the projection of the burn wound, underlying tissues adhesion occurs and the mobility of tissue layers relative to each other is disturbed. The nature of tissue adhesion, the number of adhered layers of tissues and the types of tissues involved in this process are determined. Additionally, mechanical abnormalities in the patient's body that causes pathological fascial tensions are detected.;EFFECT: method allows to assess the state of the underlying tissues in the projection of a burn wound, to determine the true depth of the lesion and to formulate a rational treatment plan in the early stages, to identify possible burdening factors, which are at first injuries consequences with pathological fascial tensions, to implement dynamic quality control of treatment and predict the possible need for the use of surgical correction of the burn wound state.;2 cl, 2 ex
