FIELD: electricity.;SUBSTANCE: in the high-voltage transmission line with earth-wire and the power-factor correction unit (PFCU) connected at the ends of the line, the phases of the PFCU are assembled according to the "star" scheme with an isolated neutral, and at least one earth-wire at each end of the transmission line is connected to an isolated PFCU neutral. Between the isolated neutral and ground, a device with a threshold volt-ampere characteristic is additionally connected, for example, overvoltage limiter, and/or a chain of a series-connected compensation reactor and switching device. A controlled shunt reactor can be used as a PFCU.
