The supply of phase A excitation power exceeds the supply of phase B excitation power by θ_r/4. The entire switching process from phase A to phase B is divided into two intervals. In the interval [0°, θ₁] of the rotor positions for phase A, the second set of the torque thresholds is applied, and for phase B, the first set of the torque thresholds is applied. Critical position θ₁ arises automatically during the commutation process, thus eliminating the need to perform any additional calculations. The total torque is controlled in the range [T_o+th2_low; T_o+th2_up].
