FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of medicine, in particular to obstetrics and gynecology. Method is proposed for revealing the hereditary predisposition to the development of fetal growth retardation among the women smokers. Polymerase chain reaction is conducted in order to analyse the IL-10 G-1082A gene polymorphism. When detecting genotypes of IL-10-1082A/A or IL-70-1082G/A, the conclusion is made that there is a hereditary predisposition to the fetal growth retardation among women smokers.;EFFECT: invention provides for the extension of the arsenal of prognostic means of detecting the hereditary predisposition to the development of fetal growth retardation.;1 cl, 1 tbl, 4 ex
