Device for measuring the transient characteristics of optical laser amplifiers includes a laser master oscillator, generating the ultrashort impulses, stretcher, which ensures the time-chirping according to the linear law of the laser pulse from the master oscillator to the required duration, the acousto-optical dispersion line, made on the basis of a crystal and carrying out the formation of an optical test signal by diffraction of input laser pulses with an arbitrary amplitude and phase modulation of their optical spectra during the time of nonstationary acousto-optic interaction, a device for recording the transient characteristics of amplifiers after amplifying an optical test signal thereof, comprising a picosecond streak camera and a digital camera; synchronization system; software and hardware control complex: HF generator of arbitrary waveforms and an amplifier, which adaptively form in an acousto-optic crystal an ultrasonic phase diffraction grating with variable period and modulation depth, to provide the necessary time profile of the diffracted laser pulse (optical test signal) for the subsequent measurement of the transient characteristics of optical amplifiers by the recording device.;EFFECT: technical result consists in generating and recording adaptive optical test signals for measuring transient characteristics with extremely short fronts per picosecond units.;10 cl, 3 dwg
