FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to formation of wear-resistant coatings on steel surfaces that can be used in stamping industry. Method involves electric explosion of composite electrically blasted conductor, consisting of a two-layer flat aluminum shell with a mass of 60–530 mg and a core in the form of a mixture of a titanium carbide powder with a mass equal to 0.5–2.0 of the shell mass and Cr3C2 with a mass equal to 0.5–2.0 of the shell mass, formation of a pulsed multiphase plasma jet from the products of explosion, fusion of the die steel surface with an absorbed power density of 4.6–4.8 GW/m2, deposition of explosion products onto the surface, formation of a composite coating of the TiC-Cr3C2-Al system and subsequent coating surface pulse periodic electron beam treatment at absorbed power density of 40–60 J/cm2, pulses duration of 150–200 mcs and number of pulses of 10–30.;EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a shell with high adhesion to die steel, high microhardness and wear resistance.;1 cl, 1 ex, 2 dwg
