Technical result is achieved due to the fact that in the stereoscopic method of measuring the area of surface sections of the internal cavities of objects of known shape, consisting in a controlled movement of the image recording system relative to the base surface of the object, digitally recording several images of the surface of an object from various angles with the help of a recording system, the comparison of synchronously recorded images, detection of the desired surface sections on them and isolating the boundaries of these sections in the form of a sequence of boundary points on a closed curve, determining the position of the spatial image of the boundary points and calculating that by triangulation of the surface area spanned on the spatial image of the boundary, simultaneously with the recording of images, the position and orientation of the recording system are measured relative to the base surface of the object, a plurality of image reference points are defined within the boundary, the density of which is determined by the required accuracy of measurements, the position of their spatial images is determined, taking into account their location on the surface, which has a local shape of the object, the area of the selected section of this surface is calculated by triangulation using the points both on the boundary, and on additionally specified points.;EFFECT: increasing the objectivity of control by reducing the uncertainty in measuring the areas of surface sections of a complex shape by triangulation methods.;1 cl, 1 dwg
