FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to production of materials used in preparation of coatings for protective and decorative finishing of internal and external surfaces. Method for producing silicate paint comprises grinding of a product containing solid soluble glass and combining grinding result with liquid phase in form of water. As a product containing a solid soluble glass, serpentinite cake is used. Latter is obtained by fusing crushed serpentinite with alkali. Before this fusion, a serpentinium-alkaline mixture containing serpentinite and alkali is prepared, with addition of water until a homogeneous paste-like consistency of mixture is obtained. Mixture is dosed into working doses in form of lumps or pellet blanks and fusion is carried out during baking of working doses in furnace until it is cured, resulting in obtaining of serpentinite cake in form of solid lumps or granules. Combination of grinding result with the liquid phase is carried out in grinding process which is carried out in a ball drum with water added before the product reaches paint consistency.;EFFECT: resulting paint is one-component, purely silicate, has thixotropy and high resilience.;7 cl, 4 tbl
