FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to X-ray examinations and to the improvement of patient safety during such examinations , and concerns an isotonic X-ray composition used as a bolus injection for newborns, children and adult patients, as well as for individuals with underdeveloped / weak kidney function containing yoforminol and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient, where the composition contains an iodine concentration of 160–200 mg/ml and a sodium ions concentration of 70–120 mM and a calcium ions concentration of 0.5–1.3 mM. Invention also relates to an X-ray examination method comprising administering an isotonic composition in a body used as a bolus injection of said composition; effect on the body by a X-ray dose, where the X-ray dose is provided by the energy of voltage in a tube in the range 70–140 kVp; examination of the organism using a diagnostic device and the compilation of research data.;EFFECT: contrast media with low iodine concentration for X-ray imaging and the method for X-ray imaging are proposed.;12 cl, 7 tbl, 2 ex, 7 dwg
