The invention relates to a method for controlling the travel movement of at least two maintenance devices (14a-14d) on a textile machine. According to the invention, it is proposed that in the case in which one of the maintenance devices (14a-14d) fails a maintenance function and a basic position or maintenance position is not available or another maintenance device has to pass this location, an evasive function of the defective maintenance device is activated.
