At least one bent, mainly U-shaped, optical fibre (12) is fixed in plastics plug connector housing (10) for optical fibres and mechanically secured by adjustable plastics housing insert (20) which can be welded or glued to housing. Preferably insert positively surrounds, at least partly, optical fibre at one bent section (16). Housing insert may be slidable in preset direction into retainer (18) of housing. Insert may be welded to housing at one point, at least, of housing. Independent claims are included for manufacture of invented plug connector housing.
