A method for operating a eyes surgery system (13), wherein the eyes surgery system (13) comprises: a microscope (15); a stand (35), which carries the microscope (15) and a plurality of displaceable relative to each other components (37) and a plurality of actuators (41) for the components (37) to position relative to one another; and an apparatus (23) for measuring a refraction of an eye (21) which, together with the microscope (15) on the stand (35) is supported; andthe the method comprising: - actuating the actuators (41) (113) in such a way that the device (23) for measuring the refraction relative to the eye (21) is disposed; - measuring at least one of a state of the eye (21) representative of the parameter (103, 105, 107, 109), - measuring at least one of the refraction of the eye (21) parameter representing with the device (23) for measuring the refraction (101), wherein a time distance between the measuring of the at least one of the state of the eye (21) and the measurement of the parameter representing at least one hand, the refraction of the eye (21) parameter representing less than a predetermined period of time, and - outputting at least one of the refraction of the eye (21) representative of the refraction value (127) based on a result of the measurement of the at least one of the refraction of the eye (21) parameter representing, characterized in that the at least one of the refraction of the eye (21) reflection value representing is sent only when a based on the measurement of the at least one of the state of the eye (21) parameter representing the certain state value within a predetermined value range, that the actuation of the actuators (41) is effected in such a way that the device (23) for measuring the refraction in a measuring position relative to the eye (21) is arranged, wherein the measuring position with respect to a distance of the device (23) for measuring the refraction of the eye (21) is defined, and that the at least one the state of the eye (21) parameters representing a first parameter, which comprises a difference between the distance of the device (23) for measuring the refraction of the eye (21) and an ideal spacing of the device (23) for measuring the refraction of the eye (21) represents.
