It concerns systems that can store excess energy (electrical or mechanical energy) in the form of heat and pressure energy and reproduce it when needed. By using existing energies from the environment (heat, cold), temperature changes in the working media (air, water, etc.) can be caused. Heat transfer causes pressure changes in high pressure vessels. When unloading the energy storage, the thermally generated overpressure is used to drive a turbine and recovered by generator power. Take one or more high-pressure vessels, which can be filled with any desired air pressure (gas). Thereafter, higher pressure fluid is pumped into the high pressure reservoir. As soon as the high-pressure container is filled approximately halfway with liquid, the process is ended.
