According to the current state of the art, there is no satisfactory method for correcting visual abnormalities of the skin (eg scars) which is at the same time effective, gentle and inexpensive. For the purpose of renewed excitation of wound healing, grid-shaped incisions are made in the visually impaired skin area with the aid of a sufficiently fine cutting tool (eg scalpel blade). Cutting width and patterns may vary (see below). The leakage of cuts in the visually inconspicuous surrounding tissue to create soft transitions is recommended. Pre-anesthesia with low pain tolerance is possible. The additional application of ointments is possible. After a few days of healing, a clear visual improvement of the cutaneous defect (eg a scar) is to be expected. Even a repigmentation is possible. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated with sufficient time intervals until a satisfactory visual improvement of the dermal remainder has been achieved. Areas of application: Particular mention should be made here of, but not limited to, scars in their variety of appearance: hyper- or hypotrophic scars, acne scars, scar keloids, hyper- or hypopigmented scars or otherwise visually striking scars. Furthermore, other optically conspicuous or hyper- or hypopigmented areas of the skin, such as stretch marks and other stretch marks of the skin, cellulite, wrinkles, etc. pp. (no exhaustive list, further optical irregularities are conceivable and their treatment with this method should be included in this patent)
