Process for the preparation of glass vials with low delamination tendency under the influence of a purging gas flow

In a method of manufacturing glass bottles having a flat bottom and an opposite filling opening, the bottom of the glass bottle is further formed at a plurality of processing positions. During the entire further shaping of the bottom, a purge gas flow is generated in the interior of the glass vials with the aid of a purge gas which flows in or out via the filling opening of the glass vial in the center, in order to reduce delamination effects. To inject or purge the purge gas serves a pipe or a nozzle. Various geometries and arrangements of the tube or nozzle are disclosed. A variety of geometric constellations of pipe diameters and various mass flow settings are disclosed.
