A broadband omnidirectional antenna (1) comprises a vertically polarized monopole radiator having a radiator sheath (5) extending away from a base plate (3). The omnidirectional antenna (1) is designed as a dual-polarized antenna (1) and also comprises a horizontally polarized radiator (11). In the radiator shell (5) of the vertically polarized monopole radiator (2) are mutually offset in the circumferential direction slots (13) provided, wherein the longitudinal extent of the slots (13) preferably parallel to the longitudinal axis (4) of the antenna (1). In the interior of the vertically polarized monopole radiator (2), a feed device (14) is provided, which feeds the slots (13) offset from one another. There are further provided a plurality of parasitic radiators (15) which are arranged outside the radiator jacket (5) of the vertically polarized monopole radiator (2) and spaced therefrom so as to intersect the respective slots (13).
