A wheel cover 10 is provided to prevent a disk brake from wind and rain related rust. The wheel cover 10 includes a cover body 18, a center piece 24, and a shutter 26. A cylindrical portion 66 of the center piece 24 is inserted into an ornament mounting hole 34 of a wheel 14 through an engaging hole 22 formed in the cover body 18. In this insertion, engaging hooks 68 provided on the cylindrical portion 66 are brought into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the ornament mounting hole 34 to hold the wheel cover 10 to the wheel 14. The shutter 26 is then inserted into spaces formed between an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion 66 and the engagement hooks 68 of the center piece 24. As a result, the shutter 26 and the rigid cylindrical portion 66 receive a force acting on the engagement hooks 68 when the wheel cover 10 is removed from the wheel 14. This construction can prevent water from entering areas between the inner peripheral surface of the ornament mounting hole 34 and the engagement hooks 68 and prevent deformation of the engagement hooks 68, making it difficult for the wheel cover 10 to be removed from the wheel 14.
