ORC (Organic Rankin Cycle) for converting heat from compressed gas as a heat source (11) into mechanical energy, the ORC (8) having a closed circuit (14) containing a working fluid with two phases, where the circle (14) is a liquid pump (15) to rotate the working fluid in the circle (14) successively through a evaporator (10),designed to be placed in thermal contact with the heat source (11), by an expander (12) to convert the thermal energy of the working fluid into mechanical energy and by a capacitor (16),which is in thermal contact with a cooling element (17), characterized by the fact that the expander (12) is positioned above the evaporator and that the fluid exhaust (22) of the evaporator (10) is connected to the fluid inlet (23) of the expander (12) by means of a so-called ascension column (24), which is filled with a mixture of liquid working fluid and gaseous bubbles of the working fluid, the mixture being fed to the expander (12), and that the column of increase (24) extends with at least one part at the same level or above the level of admission (23) of the expander (12), a gravitational flow of the liquid working fluid,provided by the column of increase (24) to the expander (12).
