The method involves collecting measurements of intensity of signal and real time mapping of geographical, time and frequency elements of use of radio resources of cellular radio telecommunication network (D). Zones subjected to degradation of service quality are identified and indicated to an operator. Radio coverage problems are self corrected within limit of reconfiguration possibilities of radio transmitter (C). The coverage is effectively verified on degraded zones of the network. Radio transmitter configuration and network planning parameters are indicated to correct coverage holes. An independent claim is also included for a geoptimization apparatus for evaluating and correcting radio coverage of a cellular radio telecommunication network operator.
