A device for adjusting the height of a bar to be suspended by keeping the feet on the ground with the hip, knee and the bent at right angles to rehydrate the intervertebral discs. The present invention relates to a device making it possible to vary rapidly and precisely, the height of a bar, to prevent its rotation and its sliding so that the user can be suspended in complete safety. The device is constituted of two lateral uprights of a suspension bar and of two blocks. The two uprights that are identical are to be fixed on each side of the sash-frame of a door or the walls of a corridor or in the angle of one piece by the addition of shims to 45°. They are provided on the entire length of their inner face of a central slide vertical and transverse grooves regularly spaced. The two blocks are positioned in the grooves of the uprights, as a function of the height chosen. They ensure the adjustment and the vertical blocking of the bar is positioned on the other.
