The present invention consists of a tool for flanging (108) of a sheet metal blank with a stamping press, said tool comprising: a lower frame (110) with a device for the lower blade (114) of the flanging; an upper frame (116) with a device of the upper blade (120) of the flanging comprising a first blade (1201) able to fall, a first edge of the sheet blank, and a second blade (1202) able to fall, a second edge of the sheet blank, the said second plate being situated in height with respect to said first strip so as to fall, a portion of said second edge, after said first portion is struck by the first blade.
