The invention relates to a device for capturing insects including flies. It comprises a handle (1) whose upper end is fixed to a frame (3) forming the outline of a pocket (2) capturing. - The open front face of the pocket (2) is covered with a grid consisting of vertical son (4) aligned next to each other. A slider (8) provided on the handle (1) is connected, via a rod (7), to a small horizontal bar (5) performing a rectilinear translational movement at the base of the frame (3). This movement allows the user to act on the tension or relaxation of the son (4) constituting the grid.
