A process for synthesizing a polyurethane-based solid-solid organic phase change material, the process comprising: - a step (i) of mixing and reacting a liquid polyethylene glycol, a crosslinking agent and a a liquid polyisocyanate, by mechanical stirring, at a first controlled temperature, in an enclosure, to obtain the liquid polyurethane, - a step (ii) of cooking the liquid polyurethane, at a second controlled temperature, to make the solid polyurethane, the mixing of step (i) being carried out in the absence of solvent.
