The invention proposes a method for producing a drinking cup intended to contain liquid, comprising a circular bottom and a sidewall (1) in the form of a sheet provided with two opposing sides (2), the method comprising a step consisting of rolling the sheet around itself in such a way as to produce a truncated cone, and sealing the side of the sidewall (1), referred to as the "lower" side (41), to the periphery of the bottom so as to give the drinking cup a volume provided with an opening in the top portion, said opening being delimited by two opposing edges (421, 422) located on the side referred to as the "upper" side (42) of the sidewall (1). According to the invention, the method comprises a step of gluing the two edges (421, 422) of the opening, that consists of pinching them in order to bring them into contact without folding them, the gluing being carried out, at most, on a portion of the opening, so as to leave an open hole allowing a liquid contained inside the volume to flow through same.
