The principle of the present invention is to provide a vehicle of a device enabling it to pass over obstacles that are too high for the wheels to be able to allow the crossing of an easy. The vehicle comprises a first set of wheels as one or more wheels, but a second set of wheels is situated at the side of the wheel 1 and connected to its support by a mechanical connection of a known type. In its rest position, the second set of wheels is arranged so that it does not touch the ground and that it encounters an obstacle in the first, before the wheel 1. This has the effect of displacing it towards the rear. It then raised progressively the vehicle until the wheel 1 is able to roll on the top of the obstacle. In an improved version, the second set of wheels is connected to the chassis by a cradle 60, which can pivot about an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the wheel 1 when it encounters an obstacle.
