The invention relates to the manufacture of an utensil for slicing a food product such as a sandwich bread or a piece of baguette to prepare it to receive in addition a complementary food that can be spread. The slicing and buttering and buttering utensil (1) is formed of an ergonomic grip (2) of a flexible flexible blade (3) having on one side micro-serrations (3A) of the other a beveled and tapered portion (3B) and an inclined blade tip (4) incorporating a bevel or two tapered bevels (4A).
