A garment to be worn on and move with the human body comprising a fabric layer to lie adjacent to the body and more rigid support portions (21, fig.2) which follow the shape of the musculature. Parts of the fabric layer may comprise clusters of gripping dots 4 on the inner side to grip the users skin, and preferably the gripper dot diameter varies in relation to muscles and joints of the body. The supports may be formed of a different material to the fabric layer and be formed as strips correlating with the gripping dots in order to aid in supporting muscles and joints. There may be clusters of gripping dots at the garment openings 11, 13 to keep it in place. The garment could be worn to support an athlete recovering from a sprain, strain, pulled muscle or other injury and provides an alternative to Kinesio Tape (RTM).
