The invention relates to an arrangement comprising a terminal block and an external electrical component which is fastened to the terminal block by means of a component carrier. The electrical component is mechanically fastened to the terminal block by means of the component carrier. The electrical contact is established in that either two connection wires of the electrical component are plugged directly into core end connection terminals (push-in, tension spring or displacement technique) or the component carrier itself is in the form of a metal part which can be plugged in, and then a connection wire is plugged into a core end connection terminal and a plug-in foot of the metal part which can be plugged in is plugged into a core end connection terminal or into a bridge shaft of the terminal block.
