Disclosed are a method and device for querying close-range objects, belonging to the technical field of mobile terminals. The method comprises: receiving a close-range object query request sent by a target terminal, and acquiring location information of the target terminal; separately determining, according to the location information of the target terminal, object location information that is stored in advance and is used for querying a close-range object, and a plurality of preset distance ranges, objects having distances from the target terminal within all the distance ranges so as to obtain objects corresponding to all the distance ranges; and separately selecting objects to be shown randomly from the objects corresponding to all the distance ranges, and showing to the target terminal the objects to be shown. The present disclosure can enhance the effectiveness of a close-range object query function.
