Method for voice notification of a malfunction in a home gateway and corresponding home gateway

The method involves detecting operation failure at level of an automation system e.g. network time protocol management automation system, of a home gateway. An error code related to the operation failure is obtained. A voice film is obtained using the error code. A message is sent to a telephone terminal, where the message is designed to ring the telephone terminal. The voice film is read at the telephone terminal, where the telephone terminal is connected to the home gateway. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a home gateway comprising an obtaining unit for obtaining an error code related to operation failure (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for voice-notification of an operation failure of a service delivered by a home gateway.
