A LOCALIZATION-BASED BEAMFORMING SCHEME FOR SYSTEMS WITH MULTIPLE ANTENNAS

A kind of 3D of accurate positioning is suggested with the method for reducing cost. User equipment (UE) receives multiple location reference signals (PRSs) from multiple base stations. Multiple base stations include serving BS and two adjacent base stations. The UE estimates time difference (TDOA) measurement that multiple sight paths (LOS) and corresponding index PRSs arrival times (TOA) reach. Then the UE estimates the UE at the elevation angle based on the PRS of the LOS path of the estimation from base station being served. Finally,The position of system (or UE or network, depend on coordinate) to calculate UE is based on TDOA measured values and fixed angle of altitude.
