Electric power converter apparatus for an electric DC power transmission system, comprising at least one module (10) with an AC power input (11) through which the AC power to be converted enters and a DC power output (12) through which the converted DC power is transmitted towards a high-voltage direct-current line. The apparatus (100) can be adapted to connect a plurality of high-voltage direct-current lines, and the module (10) comprises an output (12) for each high-voltage direct-current line, the module (10) converting the AC power of the input (11) into as many DC voltages as high-voltage direct-current lines can be connected to the apparatus (100).
