Provided are a linkage control method for an Internet of Things gateway and an Internet of Things gateway. The method includes: determining attribute information of a first channel of a first device connected to the IOT gateway; determining whether the attribute information of the first channel satisfies a trigger condition in a preset linkage rule, where the trigger condition is used for determining whether to execute an action corresponding to the trigger condition in the preset linkage rule; if the attribute information of the first channel satisfies the trigger condition, determining, according to the preset linkage rule, attribute information of a second channel corresponding to the first channel, where the second channel includes a second channel in the first device or a second channel of a second device; and controlling the first device or the second device determined according to the attribute information of the second channel to execute the action corresponding to the trigger condition.
