A turbopump inducer for stabilising the cavitation pockets occurring at the blades of the inducer, the inducer having a plurality of blades (10) disposed between an inner housing and an outer housing, each blade (10) having a lower surface and an upper surface (20), the upper surface (20) of at least one blade (10) having a cut-out portion extending substantially from the leading edge (22) of the blade (10) to a step surface (26) provided on the upper surface (20).
