The invention relates to a method for generating a cinematic rendering short film (KF) based ona medical image data set (BDx1) comprising a series of images, the image data set representing a body region of interest of an examination subject (Pat X), anda radiological report of findings (BB), wherein the radiological findings report comprises at least one clinical finding (BDx1) concerning the body region of interest represented by means of an image data record. The method comprises the following steps:- selecting (S4) a clinical finding (Bx1) of the findings report,Selecting (S2) a partial image series (TB) of the image data set based on the selected clinical findings,Determining (S5) a parameter set (P) for a cinematic rendering algorithm,Generating (S7) a cinematic rendering short film by applying the cinematic rendering algorithm to the selected field series using the parameter set. The invention also relates to a computing unit (46) and a diagnostic workstation (BA) for generating a cinematic rendering short film (KF) and to a corresponding computer program and computer-readable data carrier.
