To provide a steel sheet temperature prediction method and a steel sheet temperature prediction device capable of accurately predicting a steel sheet temperature at a cooling step of an annealing furnace.SOLUTION: In the steel sheet temperature prediction method according to an embodiment of the present invention, a control device 13 calculates, in a section where a steel sheet S is in contact with a roll, a roll temperature using a temperature of the steel sheet S immediately before the roll and an in-furnace temperature to predict the temperature of the steel sheet S in consideration of heat transfer between the roll and the steel sheet S using the roll temperature calculated, and predicts, in a section where the steel sheet S is not in contact with the roll, the temperature of the steel sheet S in consideration of thermal radiation between the steel sheet S and a furnace atmosphere, which makes it possible to predict the temperature of the steel sheet S at any position in the annealing furnace.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
