To provide a sewage overflow detection device which automatically and surely detects whether sewage overflows or not in sewage treatment within a reaction vessel provided with a partition board.SOLUTION: A sewage overflow detection device 100 is mounted in a sewage treatment device having a reaction vessel 1 for sewage treatment and partition boards 7 partitioning the inside of the reaction vessel 1 into a plurality of regions, to detect whether sewage overflows beyond the partition boards 7. The sewage overflow detection device 100 comprises: image acquisition means which acquires an object image including the partitioning board 7; image processing means which processes the acquired object image into an input image; feature extraction means which extracts a feature quantity by performing prescribed processing on information constituting the input image and finally calculates a specific value; and overflow determination means which determines whether sewage overflows beyond the partitioning boards 7 or not on the basis of the specific value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
