To provide a strategy game method and a system which allow a game user to use a channel and change a landform and which can utilize characteristics of the channel.SOLUTION: The strategy game method comprises: a step 310 including a basic channel arrangement including a preset first number of river tiles and a preset second number of bridge tiles, and providing a defense section of a user; a step 320 for providing the user with a river tile change function by which, arrangement of at least some river tiles out of the preset first number of river tiles can be changed, or deletion of at least some river tiles can be performed; and a step 330 for processing match between the user and other user with respect to the defense section including the channel arrangement changed by the user using the river tile change function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
