To provide a composition that contains a dye such as ink having a treatment agent of a fiber material to print or dye, or a polymerizable water-soluble component, and in which polymerized compounds of the treatment agent or the water-soluble component are removed from the fiber material easily.SOLUTION: A composition for fiber material printing or dyeing is a composition used for printing or dyeing of the fiber material and contains water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer containing an ionizable group and a counterion. It is preferable that the composition for fiber material printing or dyeing contains a photoinitiator, the ionizable group is carboxylic acid, phosphoric acid or sulfonic acid, and the counterion is a sodium ion, a potassium ion or an ammonium ion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
